As the founder and CEO of Vetted Kitchens, Kris Vandenberg brings a wealth of culinary & leadership experience to the table. With over 25 years in the foodservice industry, Kris has worked in various positions ranging from dishwasher to Executive Chef. After serving proudly in the U.S. Army for 12 years, Kris attended culinary school and honed his skills in kitchens around the world. His passion for the culinary arts started at a young age, helping his mother in the kitchen for church events & holidays.
Kris’s dedication to the culinary arts has been recognized with the Waugh Foods Culinary Program Award for up and coming chefs. In addition to leading Vetted Kitchens, Kris is also the Austin Platoon Leader for The Mission Continues and a member of the Bunker Labs Austin Veterans in Residence program. He is committed to using his skills and expertise to make a positive impact in the local community and beyond.
